Who We Are

About Us

Hope City exists to love God and develop passionate, stable followers of Christ. No matter who you are or what you've been through, we know that God has a next for you.
Since 1976

Rooted in Edmonton

Our story began in 1976 in the Mill Woods community of Edmonton. Through faithful and steady leadership, God’s blessing, and a unified congregation, Hope City has grown significantly over the years and now serves the city through three physical locations across the Edmonton area. We are a church intentionally focused on reaching those who don’t yet know Christ, while also investing deeply in the next generation. From kids and youth to young adults, we believe forming faith early matters, and we are committed to creating environments where the next generation can encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and discover their purpose.

Mill Woods Pentecostal Assembly Founded

In 1976, Mill Woods Pentecostal Assembly dedicated its first building on open prairie at the edge of southeast Edmonton. A few families had prayed for direction and felt God calling them to start a church there. Three convictions came out of those prayers: reach people who aren’t here yet, keep our kids, and keep a culture of peace.
