Lifestyle Expecations
At Hope City, we believe the Bible is the foundation for every aspect of our lives (2 Timothy 3:16). As a
serve team member, we expect you to align your lifestyle with Scriptural principles in all areas,
including relationships, finances, sexuality, and spirituality. Some lifestyle choices may prevent you from
serving on a team, while others can be areas for growth as you serve.
Leadership carries significant responsibility. There's a common misconception that leadership offers
more freedom; however, it actually involves less personal freedom due to the influence a leader's life
has on others (James 3:1). While perfection is not possible in this life, God's will is for us to become more
Christ-like (1 Thessalonians 4:3). This means consistently refining our attitudes and behaviors to align
with Biblical values.
By accepting a position on a serve team, you acknowledge and embrace the principles outlined in the
Serve Team Commitment.
