Hope City is meeting or exceeding all AHS COVID-19 recommendations and guidelines. Providing a safe and fun environment for our families is a high priority. This page will help you know what to expect when you attend an in-person program at one of our campuses.
WHAT TO EXPECT
ENTERING THE BUILDING
When you enter the building, you and your child(ren) will be asked to sanitize your hands and wear a mask. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided. We have adult and child size disposable masks available. Children aged 2 and under are not required to wear a mask.
There are three check-in stations available. These stations are manned by volunteers that will complete the check in process for you. They are located by auditorium doors B & C, as well as the nursery counter.
The attendant at the check in station will check your child(ren)’s temperature and ask you about COVID symptoms or exposure.
You will be asked to hand sanitize your child(ren)’s hands before they proceed to the drop-off area. Leaders carry hand sanitizer in their lab coats to enable frequent sanitization for themselves and the children. There are additional hand sanitizing stations available in the gym and preschool areas.
Elementary children will be directed to follow one of the leaders to the gymnasium.
There will be CM Team Members ready (identified by white lab coats) to welcome your child(ren) and bring them to their program.
Preschool children are physically spaced around tables and chairs for lesson activities and center time. Siblings can sit together, if desired.
Toys and other supplies are designated for specific services and collected for sanitization as needed. They are not shared amongst children and are sanitized after use.
All leaders and children always wear face masks except for when a leader is presenting the lesson. While presenting the lesson, they do not have to wear a mask but are more than six feet away from the children for their short presentation. When the lesson is completed, they immediately sanitize their hands and apply their face mask before approaching the children.
Elementary children are physically spaced in chairs for the large group program. Siblings can sit together, if desired.
The small group coaches interact with their small groups while they are physically distanced in the large group setting, while providing opportunities for the children to engage with each other during the lessons.
All leaders and children always wear face masks except for the elementary creative team members. While they present on the stage, they do not have to wear a mask. When they leave the stage, they immediately sanitize their hands and apply their face mask before entering the gym area.
Please pick up your Preschool child(ren) first before proceeding to pick up your elementary child(ren), if applicable.
You will be picking up your elementary child(ren) at the entrance to the gymnasium.
EXITING THE BUILDING
After picking up your elementary child(ren), you will be asked to exit through the designated exterior gym doors as directed by the CM Team. Please have your preschool child(ren) and other belongings with you before pick up so that you are ready to exit directly from the gym.
