WHAT TO EXPECT

If you have never been to church before (or it’s been a while), it can be nothing short of scary to show up without knowing what to expect. One way to get a pretty good idea of what a service is like is to watch one before showing up.

What we can promise you is that you’ll meet really good people, experience music that sounds great but also has something to it that’s hard to explain, and you’ll hear a message from the Bible that you can apply to your life right away.

KIDS

We have world-class, fun, and safe programs for kids during the service. Kids will experience a clean environment where each week they do crafts, play games, sing songs, and are taught messages from the Bible.

FAQ’S

WHAT COVID PROTOCOLS ARE IN PLACE?

Visit here for up-to-date information on services and ministries during COVID.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Whatever you feel comfortable in. Sweat pants are fine and so is a suit (not a birthday suit though!). Wear what you want to wear because church isn’t about how you look.

will i be singled out in the service?

No. When you come into a new place it might feel like people are watching you, but let us assure you they are not. Come to church, enjoy the service, and leave.

However, once you decide that attending Hope City is going to be a regular pattern in your life, we will encourage you to both get to know others and be known.

Will i be asked to give money?

No, not really. We talk about money a lot because it plays an important role in our lives. And we do ask people who call our church home to partner financially with their church. But we don’t pass a collection plate around or anything like that.

How long is a church service?

No more than 60 minutes from start to finish.

Why do you have more than one location? How does that work?

We have three physical campuses around the city:  Mill Woods, Terwillegar, and Kingsway.

Each campus is unique in some ways (i.e., community make-up, amount of people who attend) but they are a lot more alike than different. Each campus shares the same overall leadership, beliefs, values, and DNA.

In regards to a Sunday morning, each campus has live worship and a great kids ministry. Our Mill Woods campus has live preaching and we broadcast that to our other campuses.

Do I have to be a christian to attend?

We are a Christian church, but you do not have to be a Christian to attend. Each week we meet people who are just exploring life and the questions it brings.
